Thread

If you want to sew, you need thread. And you don't have to stitch very long before you realize that quilting uses a LOT of thread. For general piecing and quilting, look for 100% cotton thread. You'll need a variety of solids in basic colors for most of your everyday piecing. Variegated threads are wonderful for quilting and top-stitching. Always buy the best thread you can afford and you won't go wrong.
